Effective Date: October 24, 2026
Carpe Astra Systems LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates NextStrike, a baseball pitch-calling mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our app or visit our website, nextstrike.app. By using NextStrike, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
When you create an account through our authentication provider, Clerk, we collect:
Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using the iOS Keychain (or equivalent secure storage on Android).
NextStrike stores the following content that you create within the app:
NextStrike offers a push-to-talk feature that allows coaches to send voice clips to the catcher's earpiece. These voice recordings are:
We collect and store:
Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat. Payment transactions are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not have access to your credit card numbers or payment details.
We collect limited device and usage data for analytics and error reporting:
When your device is offline, pitch calls are queued in a local SQLite database and automatically synced to our servers when connectivity is restored. Your theme preference and text-to-speech voice preference are stored locally in AsyncStorage on your device.
Our website, nextstrike.app, offers optional Google Ads measurement. The Google tag stays blocked until you select Accept in the optional cookies banner. If you accept, Google may set advertising cookies in your browser and receive your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you visit, and an ad click identifier if you arrived by clicking one of our ads. When you tap the App Store or Google Play button, the tag tells Google Ads which store button you tapped, so we can measure visits to the stores from our ads.
We keep Google's restricted data processing enabled and advertising personalization disabled. We do not use this tag for remarketing or to add you to advertising audiences.
If you accept optional cookies and arrive from an ad, the store buttons also pass the campaign name to the App Store or Google Play for campaign attribution. If you reject, the store links still work without these campaign parameters.
You can reject optional cookies and continue using the website. We remember your choice and its date in this browser's local storage for up to 180 days. If that storage cannot be updated or cleared, we try to remember your rejection in session storage for the current tab. This preference storage is used to respect your choice, not for advertising. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, optional advertising measurement stays off. Your blog theme preference is stored separately.
Use Privacy settings in the website footer to change your choice. Withdrawing consent clears Google Ads cookies that this website can access and reloads the page with the Google tag blocked. It does not undo data already sent to Google. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings. Our website uses no other analytics. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
